Qatar- Symposium on industry development


(MENAFN- The Peninsula) A symposium titled "Industry is locomotive of development" was organised yesterday during the "Made in Qatar 2015" Exhibition which began at Doha Exhibition Center on Monday and runs until Friday.

Minister of Energy and Industry H E Dr Mohammed bin Saleh Al Sada and Minister of Culture, Arts and Heritage H E Dr Hamad bin Abdulaziz Al Kuwari attended the symposium.

Speaking at the event, Sheikh Khalifa bin Jassim Al Thani, Chairman of the Qatar Chamber of Commerce and Industry (QCCI), said the fourth edition of the "Made In Qatar 2015" carries a lot of

challenges and excellences in regard to its organisers' desire that the exhibition must be a certificate of excellence for Qatari industry.

He explained that the symposium, having theme "Industry is Locomotive of Development", is not just a slogan, but it is a conviction and a belief in the

importance of industry and its role in achieving growth, progress and prosperity.

The "Made In Qatar 2015" and the Symposium are a step in the right direction said Sheikh Khalifa bin Jassim Al Thani.

He expressed thanks to the Emir H H Sheikh Tamim bin Hamad Al Thani for his continuous support for the Qatari industry, and to wise government for its fruitful cooperation with Qatari private sector, a matter which led to the prosperity of Qatar and its people and its rank on the regional and international level.
