(MENAFN- Gulf Times) The World Stadium Congress Awards, sponsored by Ooredoo, have been announced. A variety of finalists have been recognised for their accomplishments and contributions to the industry. The winner of the Contractor of the Year award was Bam International, with Aktor and Esta as the first and second runners-up.
The Newcomer of the Year award went to Eiffage, with Esta and Savana Studio recognised as the runners-up. Imad Ali of Astad Project Management won the Project Manager of the Year award. The winner of the Stadium Design of the Year award was Arup (pictured), with Qatar Design Consortium and Populous recognised as the runners-up.
Innovative Solution of the Year was awarded to the Supreme Committee for Legacy and Delivery, with Siemens and Aurecon acknowledged as the runners-up. Finally, the Stadium of the Year award was given to San Mamés, with Qatar Foundation and Aktor earning runners-up
