South African CPI 0.9% vs. 1.0% forecast


(MENAFN- FxPro) Consumer price inflation in South Africa rose less-than-expected in the last quarter, official data showed on Wednesday.

In a report, Statistics South Africa Head Office said that South African CPI rose to a seasonally adjusted annual rate of 0.9%, from 1.4% in the preceding quarter.

Analysts had expected South African CPI to rise 1.0% in the last quarter
