Oman helped in repatriating Moroccan pilot's remains: MoFA


(MENAFN- Muscat Daily) Oman had a role to play in repatriation of the remains of the Moroccan pilot killed during a mission in Yemen on May 10 the Ministry of Foreign Affairs (MoFA) has said.

A statement issued by the ministry read 'With Royal Guidance the sultanate contributes in reaching an agreement to surrender the body of the Moroccan pilot to the International Committee of the Red Cross in preparation to move him to Morocco.'

Houthi rebels claimed to having downed the F-16 jet that crashed in Saada province in northwestern Yemen – a Houthi stronghold.
