Saudi Arabia donates USD80m to Jordan


(MENAFN) The Saudi Fund for Development (SFD) agreed with the government of Jordan to grant the Hashemite Kingdom a total sum of about USD80 million to develop a fiber optic and infrastructure scheme, Kuwait News Agency reported.

The plan will be implemented in industrial cities like Tafila, Madaba, Jarash and Salt municipalities. The signing was between Jordan's Minister of Planning and International Cooperation and SFD Vice Chairman and Managing Director.

The sum is allocated by a USD30 million share for infrastructure, in addition to USD50 million dedicated for the fiber optics development plan, set to link diverse government institutions in the education and health sectors.
