Kuwaiti, Honduran officials applaud bilateral ties


(MENAFN- Kuwait News Agency (KUNA)) Kuwaiti lawmakers and Honduran officials lauded Kuwaiti-Honduran relations and called for expanding bilateral cooperation in various domains, especially investment and trade.

These remarks were made Tuesday during a meeting between the visiting Kuwaiti parliamentary delegation, Honduran Minister-Coordinator General Jorge Ramon Hernandez Alcerro and President of the National Congress of Honduras Mauricio Oliva Herrera held in Honduran capital Tegucigalpaon, said Kuwaiti non-resident Ambassador to Honduras Sameeh Johar Hayat in a press statement.

Ambassador Hayat noted that the meeting focused on means to boost government and people-to-people relations.

He pointed out that the Honduran officials described relations with Kuwait as strong and distinguished.

For his part, Head of the Kuwaiti delegation MP Dr. Youssef Al Zalzala echoed a similar view and expressed gratitude for Honduras for its supportive stances to Arab causes at the international events and organizations.

He handed President of the National Congress of Honduras an official invitation from the National Assembly Speaker Marzouq Al-Ghanim to visit Kuwait.

On Monday, an agreement for cooperation and coordination between Kuwait and Honduras was signed here by the Kuwaiti MP Al Zalzala and President of the National Congress of Honduras.

In addition to MP Al Zalzala, the Kuwaiti delegation comprised lawmakers Dr. Abdullah Al Traygi and Saif Al Azmi.
