(MENAFN- Kuwait News Agency (KUNA)) The Organization of Islamic Cooperation (OIC) welcomed on Tuesday consensus reached by participants in Yemen National Dialogue Conference, held in Riyadh under theme "Saving Yemen," and adoption of "Riyadh Declaration." In a press release, the Secretary General of the OIC, Iyad Ameen Madani, expressed the OIC's backing for the Riyadh Deceleration which reaffirms support to the constitutional legitimacy in Yemen, rejects the coup d'etat committed by Houthis, reaffirms the principle of national partnership; underlines the need to start rebuilding institutions of the Yemeni State and calls for the launching of comprehensive national reconciliation.
Madani also invited all Yemeni parties to begin the implementation of the Riyadh Declaration, and called on OIC Member States and civil society to provide humanitarian relief to affected areas in Yemen and contribute to reconstruction in the country.
OIC chief also called on member countries and civil society organizations to provide humanitarian aid to troubled areas in Yemen, and help rebuild the country.
