(MENAFN- Arab Times) His Highness the Amir Sheikh Sabah Al-Ahmad Al-Jaber Al-Sabah attended the Amir's Cup football final, held under his patronage, between Qadsia and Salmiyah at Al-Kuwait Sports Club Stadium in Kaifan on Tuesday.
Qadsiya beat Salmiya 1-0 through a penalty to lift the Cup.
Upon arriving at the stadium, His Highness the Amir was warmly welcomed by the Information Minister and State Minister for Youth Sheikh Salman Sabah Salem Al-Humoud Al-Sabah, Chairman and Director General of the Public Authority for Youth and Sports Sheikh Ahmad Mansour Al-Ahmad Al-Jaber Al-Sabah, the President of the Kuwait Olympic Committee Sheikh Talal Fahad Al-Ahmad Al-Sabah and the chairmen of both competing clubs.
The match was also attended by several other officials and lawmakers.
These included His Highness the Crown Prince Sheikh Nawaf Al-Ahmad Al-Jaber Al-Sabah, National Assembly Speaker Marzouq Al-Ghanim, senior sheikhs, His Highness Sheikh Nasser Al-Mohammad Al-Ahmad Al-Sabah, His Highness the Prime Minister Sheikh Jaber Al-Mubarak Al-Hamad Al-Sabah, First Deputy Premier and Foreign Minister Sheikh Sabah Khaled Al-Hamad Al-Sabah, Deputy Minister of Amiri Diwan Affairs Sheikh Ali Jarrah Al-Sabah and senior officials. His Highness the Amir then proceeded to hand the cup and winning medals to the winning side, Qadsia SC.
