(MENAFN- Gulf Times) Malaysia External Trade Development Corporation, the national trade promotion agency of Malaysia, has brought a specialised marketing mission on medical devices and pharmaceuticals to Doha.
The three-day event, which began yesterday, will see Malaysian companies LKL Advance Metaltech, A P S Medical, Foresight Industries, and Asia Plan meeting potential local companies to explore opportunities on products
offered by them.
"Malaysia Trade Centre located at The Gate West Bay has provided the Malaysian companies with a strategic platform to aggressively look into burgeoning opportunities in Qatar," said Remee Yaakub, Malaysian Trade
Commissioner in Qatar.
Early this month, a delegation of Malaysian companies was in Doha to participate in Project Qatar 2015.
A Malaysian manufacturer specialises in a broad spectrum of medical furniture, LKL Advance Metaltech is interested to increase their export share in the region. Since its establishment in 1978, the company has gained a foothold in 48 countries while reaching over 80% of the Malaysian market share.
A P S Medical is a manufacturer of single use, disposable medical products such as medical tubes and medicine measures that include suction tubes, insufflation sets, laparoscopic suction irrigation sets and various types of extension line. Established in 1998, the company is certified with SGS United Kingdom for ISO 13485:2003, ISO 9001:2008 and CE Mark.
Foresight Industries, a manufacturer of surgical and medical disposable products, is looking for a reliable partner to distribute their products in the market. Their current focus for the region is for intravenous dressing, wound dressing and bone graft products. Foresight Industries has been certified by BSI for 9001 and 13485.
Asia Plan is the sole distributor and worldwide marketing agent for disposable male circumcision devices under the brand of Sunathrone and Sunatech. The wholly owned Malaysian company is actively involved in the field of marketing, supplying and distributing high quality medical consumables, medical disposable items, medical devices, medical equipment and a wide range of healthcare life-related facilities.
