(MENAFN- Gulf Times) The cost of recruiting house maids in Qatar is among the lowest in GCC countries, a Qatar Chamber official has clarified.
Ali Hamad Afifa, a member of the workers' recruitment office at Qatar Chamber, made the statement in response to a report published recently in local Arabic daily Al Watan on the cost of recruiting maids in Qatar.
He said the report actually referred to a five-month-old post on WhatsApp.
The labour market in Qatar is open and recruitment fees charged by service providers are highly competitive, it has been observed.
