Jordan's telecom production decreases to USD1.4b in 2013


(MENAFN) The Jordanian Telecom sector went through a significant slump in gross production, reaching USD1.4 billion in 2013 against to USD1.76 billion in 2012, according to DoS, The Jordan Times reported.

The Department of Statistics (DoS) also said in a statement that the added value decreased by 22.4 percent, hitting USD927.1 million in 2013 against to USD1.19 billion a year earlier.

In addition, cell phone subscriptions rose by 85 percent from 2009 till 2014, hitting 11.1 million against 6 million in 2009.
