Saudi Arabia hopes for Yemen agreement

(MENAFN- Kuwait News Agency (KUNA)) The Saudi Cabinet hoped on Monday that all Yemeni rivals could reach an agreement meant to restore their country's security and stability and to fulfill Yemeni people's expectations.

The cabinet welcomed in a statement following its routine weekly meeting the recent Riyadh Conference for Saving Yemen and Building the Federal State under the patronage of the Gulf Cooperation Council (GCC).

It denounced the violation of the humanitarian truce by Houthi militias through repeated attacks on the borders of the Kingdom and inside Yemen since the truce came into force on Tuesday.

It also commended the full commitment of the leadership of the Saudi-led coalition to the humanitarian truce and self-restraint, according to the statement.

Furthermore, the Cabinet appreciated the Saudi King's announcement to allocate one billion riyals to relief and humanitarian activities in Yemen, in addition to his earlier directives to allocate more than one billion riyals in response to the humanitarian and relief needs of the Yemeni people.
