Sultan Of Brunei In Official Kuwait Visit


(MENAFN- Arab Times) The Sultan of Brunei Haji Hassanal Bolkiah, accompanied by an official delegation, arrived here on Monday on a two-day official visit, during which he will hold talks with His Highness the Amir Sheikh Sabah Al-Ahmad Al- Jaber Al-Sabah.

Upon arrival, the Sultan was received by His Highness the Amir Sheikh Sabah Al-Ahmad Al-Jaber Al- Sabah, His Highness the Crown Prince Sheikh Nawaf Al-Ahmad Al-Jaber Al- Sabah, National Assembly Speaker Marzouq Al-Ghanim, Deputy Chairman of the National Guard Sheikh Mishal Al-Ahmad Al-Jaber Al- Sabah, His Highness the Prime Minister Sheikh Jaber Al-Mubarak Al- Hamad Al-Sabah, First Deputy Prime Minister and Foreign Minister Sheikh Sabah Khaled Al-Hamad Al-Sabah, Deputy Prime Minister and Minister of Interior Sheikh Mohammad Khaled Al-Hamad Al- Sabah, Deputy Amiri Diwan Minister Sheikh Ali Jarrah Al-Sabah, Deputy Prime Minister and Minister of Defense Sheikh Khaled Al- Jarrah Al-Sabah, Deputy Prime Minister, Minister of Finance and Acting Minister of Commerce and Industry Anas Al-Saleh and senior officials of State, army, police and National Guard.

Minister of State for Cabinet Affairs Sheikh Mohammad Al-Abdullah Al-Mubarak Al-Sabah was assigned as the Head of Mission of Honor to Sultan Bolkiah. The accompanying delegation of Sultan includes a number of ministers and senior officials. His Highness the Amir on Monday received at Bayan Palace visiting Sultan of Brunei and his accompanying delegation. The official talks were attended by His Highness the Crown Prince Sheikh Nawaf Al- Ahmad Al-Jaber Al-Sabah, His Highness the Prime Minister Sheikh Jaber Al-Mubarak Al- Hamad Al-Sabah and First Deputy Prime Minister and Foreign Minister Sheikh Sabah Al-Khaled Al-Hamad Al-Sabah. Senior state officials from the two countries also attended.

The talks focused on means of boosting bilateral ties and broadening cooperation in all fields for the good of the two countries and their peoples, Deputy Minister of Amiri Diwan Affairs Sheikh Ali Al-Jarrah Al-Sabah said. They also addressed several topics of common concern, he added. The Kuwait-Brunei talks were held in a cordial atmosphere that reflected the spirit of understanding and friendship dominating bilateral relations, as well as revealing strong desire to promote them. Kuwait and Brunei signed a Memorandum of Understanding (MoU) over investment cooperation, during a ceremony held on Monday.
