Qatari Ooredoo sponsors Stadium Congress

(MENAFN- Gulf Times) Ooredoo is the lead sponsor of the fifth edition of Qatar's World Stadium Congress, which opened in Doha yesterday.

The three-day event aims to discuss the importance of the design and delivery of world-class sporting infrastructure around the world.

The event will host educational sessions, panels, and networking opportunities for participants from across the industry.

As lead sponsor, Ooredoo will demonstrate its role in building the networks and delivering the services that will make the next generation of "smart stadia" a reality.

Waleed al-Sayed, chief operating officer, Ooredoo Qatar, said: "The World Stadium Congress offers an ideal international platform for us to showcase our plans and cutting-edge technologies. Ooredoo is taking the lead in delivering next generation stadium experiences through connected services, integrated systems and centralised management. We believe this will support Qatar's ambitions to be a global sporting hub, and also extend Ooredoo's leadership in the field of smart services."

Ooredoo has deployed its bigger, faster network to offer incredible Internet access at major sporting events in 2015, including the Qatar ExxonMobile Open and the Qatar 2015 Men's Handball World Championship.
