(MENAFN- Gulf Times) Souq Waqif Boutique Hotels (SWBH) recently opened its ninth hotel in Qatar, Najd Boutique Hotel, in the heart of Souq Waqif, in the presence of high-profile guests.
In a statement yesterday, SWBH said Najd is an "architectural landmark with its majestic Arabian design and state-of-the-art amenities, representing a unique blend of originality and modernity".
With 15 rooms and two signature suites, the hotel is decorated in "bold colours with intricate latticework that capture the imagination and please the eye. Each room offers a distinctive interpretation of the overall theme of Arabic modernism steeped in luxury, creating a truly unforgettable welcome to the historical centre of Doha," the statement added.
"SWBH has quickly earned itself a pre-eminent place on the world tourism map and becomes a destination of choice in Doha's heritage-rich Souq Waqif, telling the history of Qatar's fine oriental culture. We are here to launch Najd Boutique Hotel, SWBH's newest addition to the collection with its own unique character," said Taleb al-Henzab, general manager at SWBH.
Najd's amenities feature the Al Sala lounge with its "relaxing atmosphere that invites guests to sink into its deep cushioned seats, taste delicious French snacks and choose from a wide collection of flavoured teas.
On the ground floor, Al Forn is the perfect morning destination for savouring international breads and a selection of delicious sweets, macaroons and chocolates," the statement said.
A part of SWBH, Najd offers its guests full access to the hotel collection's upscale restaurants and facilities, particularly at Al Mirqab Boutique Hotel, which boasts of an exclusive fitness centre with state-of-the-art equipment, an open-air swimming pool, jacuzzi, sightseeing tours to discover Doha, valet parking and free Wi-Fi Internet in all hotel rooms and halls.
