US denies Daesh seized Iraqi city of Ramadi


(MENAFN- Jordan News Agency) The United States' Department of Defense (Pentagon) announced that the situation in the Iraqi city of Ramadi, which the Daesh terrorist group said it had seized and fully controlled, remained "fluid and contested."

Pentagon spokeswoman Maureen Schumann said, "We're continuing to monitor reports of tough fighting in Ramadi, and the situation remains fluid and contested. It is too early to make definitive statements about the situation on the ground there at this time."
