Jordan's free zones' exports reached JD239 million last April


(MENAFN- Jordan News Agency) Exports from Jordanian free zones of goods and machinery last April stood at JD239 million.

Jordan's Free Zones Corporation said in a statement on Monday that the value of commodities exported from free zones to the local and foreign markets reached JD98 million last April, including JD62 million from foreign markets, while JD36 million was earned from local markets.

The value of machinery exported to the local and foreign markets reached JD141 million last April, including JD57million earned from foreign markets, while JD84 million worth of goods went to the local markets, the statement added.

The statement figures indicated that the amount of machinery exported from the free zones to the local and foreign markets reached some 12,820 machines, of which 5,694 were exported to foreign markets, while the remaining 7,126 were exported to local markets .
