Jordan's SEPCO, Kuwaiti firm sign USD52m finance

(MENAFN) Kuwaiti Arab Fund for Economic and Social Development (AFESD) signed a funding contract worth USD52m with Jordan's Samra Electric Power Company (SEPCO), Kuwait News Agency reported.

The finance is dedicated to the seventh and final phase of SEPCO's power expansion scheme. The signing was held by the Jordanian Minister of Finance and the Chairman of AFESD.

SEPCO was initially established to reach up to the rising domestic demands for electric power and energy in the Hashemite Kingdom. The final phase will add 70 MW to the plant's capacity.
