FIFA Pres. to visit Ramallah next Wed.

(MENAFN- Kuwait News Agency (KUNA)) FIFA President Joseph Blatter is set to visit the Palestinian territories next Wednesday, the Palestinian Football Association (PFC) announced Sunday.

In his visit, Blatter is to meet with Palestinian President Mahmoud Abbas and Prime Minister Rami Hamdallah, PFC said in a press statement.

The FIFA president is also to inaugurate one of FIFA's joint projects near Ramallah, and visit Jalazone refugee camp, said PFC.

Blatter's visit, during which he is also to meet with Israeli officials, is part of reviewing PFC's request on suspending Israel's FIFA membership due to Israeli acts against Palestinian athletes and sport facilities, including banning of sports infrastructure development and hindering Palestinian athletes' activities.
