Saudi King supports Arab unity efforts

(MENAFN- Kuwait News Agency (KUNA)) Saudi King Salman bin Abdulaziz Al Saud on Sunday reaffirmed the kingdom's support for efforts to maintain the unity of Muslims and Arabs.

Speaking at a meeting with visiting Arab Parliament Speaker Ahmad bin Mohammad Al-Jarwan, accompanied by his deputies and chairmen of committees, the Saudi king said: "The Kingdom of Saudi Arabia supports those who seek to unite the ranks of Muslims and Arabs. The Kingdom feels responsibility, as you know, Arabism launched from the Arabian Peninsula, and the Kingdom constitutes the largest area of the Peninsula." He added that there was no hostility to others as Muslims across the world are brothers to Arabs.

"Here we must shoulder the responsibility, and our Muslim brothers all over the world are brothers to Arabs exactly. This does not mean that we hold hostility to others. Every person's religion is between him and God," he said.
