UAE- 21st GCC sGovernment and sServices Conference continues on 2nd Day


(MENAFN- Emirates News Agency (WAM)) With a strong emphasis on the business process optimisations and management strategy, the 21st GCC sGovernment and sServices Conference progressed towards its second day at Ritz Carlton Hotel in Dubai. Day 2 incorporated global case studies from prominent experts and speakers from the government office of Estonia, University of Arizona.

The day began with the presentation of Siim Sikkut, ICT Policy Adviser, Government Office of Estonia on "BPO Process Monitoring for an Effective Decision Making Process". BPO stands for business process outsourcing.

His presentation highlighted the role of decision makers in transforming the government business in conformity with the GCC's smart government and smart city road map.

He said that conducting root cause analyses, redesigning and optimising the critical business processes and developing IT strategy to support business process change are amongst some of the guiding factors which can be followed by the organisations for positioning themselves in sync with the smart government and smart city vision.

The next segment of the this global event was followed by in depth analysis on " Innovation in Smart Government and Smart City " and along with this annotation, Global Impact of ICT Development was also discussed elaborately by Paulo Goes, Salter Professor and Department Head, Management Information Systems , Eller College of Management - University of Arizona.

In his detailed explanation, Goes focussed on the issues that create obstacles in the implementation of smart government and smart cities vision and further accentuated on the urgency to evolve innovative strategies to resolve those issues deliberately.

The 21st GCC sGovernment and sServices Conference will conclude on 20 May.
