Workshop on behavioural skills for investigators in Qatar

(MENAFN- Gulf Times) A five-day workshop on behavioural skills for investigators started at the Capital Security Department yesterday.

Brig Khalifa Abdullah al-Noaimi, director-general of the General Directorate of Criminal Investigations, spoke on the "ethical model of a policeman" at the event.

He said a police officer, in all his dealings with the public, should act with a lot of responsibility as he is not only representing himself, but also the Ministry of Interior, entrusted with maintaining the security, safety and dignity of every member of the society.

Brig Salim Saqr al-Muraikhi, director of the Legal Affairs Department, spoke on the qualities that must be shown by an investigating officer. He stressed the investigator, being the first to receive a criminal case, plays the primary role in ascertaining the facts and circumstances of the case.

The workshop has been jointly organised by the Al Sadd Police Division and the Training Section of the Human Resources Department, said Lt Col Nasser Misfar al-Qahtani, head of the division.
