Qatar's real estate prices rise 29.5 percent in March


(MENAFN) Qatar's economy witnessed an increase of 29.5 percent in the prices of its real estate sector, according to the Qatar Central Bank's (QCB) quarterly real estate price index, the Peninsula reported.

Furthermore, QCB said that the increase compared to the previous quarter by the end of last year was about 6.1 percent, with rentals prices also set to grow in the upcoming period.

"Ever since 2010, the apartment rental rate's year-on-year (YoY) increase is 7 percent to 10 percent. At present, we noticed significant undersupply within residential real estate market. "An analyst said.
