Brazilian Petrobras revenue down 1.1 percent in Q1

(MENAFN) Brazil's state-owned Petrobras oil, mired in a graft scandal, posted revenue down 1.1 percent in the first quarter, indicating it may turn a corner after a year of woe, AFP reported.

The company reported net income of USD1.778 billion on sales of USD24.78 billion. Last year's first quarter results had brought net income of USD1.79 billion, marking a 30 percent fall on 2013.

"When this board took over there was not even the perspective of getting an (externally) audited balance. With this normalization we can start to get back to normal life," Petrobras financial director said.
