Saudi Arabia's inflation remains at 2 percent in April

(MENAFN) Saudi Arabia's Consumer Price Index (CPI), or inflation, witnessed a flat rate by remaining steady at 2 percent, compared to the same period last year, Reuters reported.

The figures were released by Saudi Arabia's Central Department of Statistics, which added that March's rate was the lowest since September 2012 due to numerous reasons.

In specific, the prices of housing and utilities increased by 3.1 percent when compared to April last year, while the prices of food and beverages increased by 1.3 percent.
