UAE- Pure Gold Jewellers founder ranked 25th on Forbes list

Dubai — Firoz Merchant the founder and chairman of award-winning jewellery retailer Pure Gold Jewellers is ranked 25th on the Forbes list of the Top 100 Indian Business Leaders this year.

Being acknowledged globally for his humanitarian work in repatriating insolvent prisoners in UAE prisons by paying off their debt or airfare his corporate social responsibility activities include support to the Red Crescent Society Shaikh Mohammed bin Rashid Al Maktoum Chartiable Trust Bait-ul-Khair UAE Education Ministry UAE Health Ministry and Zakat Fund Abu Dhabi.

Working closely with the government and various charities he helped about a total of 4500 prisoners spending a total of $1.5 million to settle their dues. Apart from that he also contributes to philanthropic causes in developing countries.
