8,410 Expats Arrested In Security Sweep To Be 'Deported' This Week


(MENAFN- Arab Times) The Public Security Sector continued its security campaigns in all governorates; leading to the arrest of 8,410 expatriates who are waiting for deportation this week.

Those arrested include Residency Law violators, marginalized laborers and others wanted by law for absconding.

According to the statistics released by the sector recently, those arrested in the Capital Governorate include 492 men and 364 women; 317 men and 347 women in Hawally; 1,400 men and 780 women in Ahmadi; 775 men and 648 women in Jahra; 1,329 men and 1,439 women in Farwaniya; and 363 men and 156 women in Mubarak Al-Kabeer.

The report also revealed that the sector conducted 251 security campaigns last week, resulting in the arrest of several persons wanted by law for involvement in criminal and civil cases.
