For his part, US President Barack Obama announced in his statement that he accepted the GCC invitation for a conference to follow up the results of the Camp David Summit.
President Obama confirmed that the United States will support its partners in the GCC against foreign attacks.
He confirmed that he discussed with GCC leaders a host of issues foremost of which was the Iranian nuclear programme, the agreement on the issue and the possibility of joint work to ensure Iran's credibility and that it will not obtain nuclear weapons.
President Obama also pointed out to the fears on Iran's acts which shake stability in the region and how to face such matters, expressing the hope that security and stability would be realized in the region.
