Hundreds of Yemenis correct status
(MENAFN- Arab News) A total of 1743 Yemenis have corrected their status since the announcement of the amnesty by Custodian of the Two Holy Mosques King Salman.
Lt. Col. Ahmed Al-Luhaidan spokesman of the Passport Department who issued the statistics said officials are monitoring the services provided for Yemeni citizens at various centers including the time taken to complete procedures.
Al-Luhaidan said that any citizen or Yemeni expatriate can host five persons each if they fulfill certain conditions. Companies are allowed to have 10 percent of their staff consist of Yemeni workers. Their names should be registered on the Labor Ministry's Ajeer portal he said.
About 2000 Yemeni prisoners being held at police stations and deportation centers across the country would soon have their status corrected according to a report in a local publication.
