(MENAFN- Kuwait News Agency (KUNA)) The EU Thursday condemned an attack against civilians during a cultural event in a hotel in Kabul Wednesday that killed a number of civilians and injured several more.
"These cowardly acts will not affect our determination to continue working with the Afghan people and government for a better future," said Catherine Ray, spokesperson for EU High Representative Federica Mogherini, in a statement here tonight.
The EU expresses its deepest condolences to the families, friends and colleagues of those killed in the attack and hopes for a fast recovery of those injured, she added.
Fourteen people were reported killed in an attack on Park Palace Hotel which was full of foreigners who were there to watch a concert.
