Dubai's Du to launch 5G network by 2020
(MENAFN) Dubai-based Telecom operator Du, or legally known as Emirates Integrated Telecommunications Co, is presently working on launching 5G network in the UAE by 2020, Gulf News reported.
The telecommunication firm is working with partners like Huawei, Nokia and Ericsson; the firm said that it has previously launched a 4G plus network in Dubai and Abu Dhabi that enjoys a speed of 300 Mbps bandwidth.
"We have already submitted papers to standard bodies to evaluate. The 5G service will be launched in 2020 in the country," the Executive Vice-President of network development and operation at Du said.
