UAE to spend USD2b on Egypt's housing projects


(MENAFN) The United Arab Emirates is set to invest USD2 billion over Egypt's housing projects in the next 2015/2016 financial year, the Minister of Investment said, Daily News Egypt reported.

The Gulf country aims at constructing 50,000 new residential units in the upcoming months, in addition to its cooperative efforts in developing the labor-intensive housing and real estate projects.

"The UAE targets projects that create vacancies, and it is welcomed by the Egyptian government." the Minister of Investment said in a statement.
