Qatar inflation decline to 0.9 percent in April


(MENAFN) Qatar's economic inflation recorded a decrease, down to 0.9 percent in April, marking a monthly change of 0.0 - 0.1 percent, according to Qatar's Statistics Authority's, Reuters reported.

The figures are taken from the consumer price data issued by Qatar's Statistics Authority, who additionally changed the base year for the index to 2013 from 2007.

However, the housing and utility costs contributed with an increase of 3 percent to the inflation in comparison with the April 2014; food and beverage costs increased by 0.3 percent.
