Boko Haram attacks army barracks in Nigeria's Maiduguri


(MENAFN- The Journal Of Turkish Weekly) Boko Haram militants on Wednesday attacked an army barracks in Nigeria's northeastern Maiduguri town, with residents fleeing for safety.

"They attacked Giwa barracks obviously with the intent of stealing ammunition," Joshua Na, a resident of the area, told Anadolu Agency.

"They came this evening just as curfew resumes here in Maiduguri," he said, adding that several residents have fled the area.

No information is yet available about casualties.
