Qatari Emir meets Oman's deputy prime minister


(MENAFN- Gulf Times) HH the Emir Sheikh Tamim bin Hamad al-Thani has met Oman's Deputy Prime Minister for the Council of Ministers, Sayyid Fahd bin Mahmoud al-Said, and the delegation accompanying him.

At the outset of the meeting, which took place at the Emir's residence in Washington DC, Sayyid Fahd conveyed the greetings and wishes of Oman's Sultan Qaboos bin Said to the Emir, as well as his wishes of progress and prosperity to the Qatari people.

The Emir entrusted Sayyid Fahd with his greetings and wishes of health and wellbeing to Sultan Qaboos and further wishes of development and growth to the people of Oman.

The meeting reviewed the ties between Qatar and Oman and ways of developing them.

The two sides also exchanged views on issues of mutual interest.

Members of the official accompanying delegation attended the meeting.

The Emir also met the Chairman of the Committee on Foreign Affairs Ed Royce and a number of US House of Representative members on Tuesday.

The meeting reviewed relations between the US and Qatar and aspects of co-operation between the two countries and means of enhancing and developing them in a way that benefit both countries. It also discussed the latest regional and international developments and issues of mutual concern.
