Five expats face theft charges in Qatar

(MENAFN- Gulf Times) A Doha Criminal Court is hearing a case of five Asian expatriate workers, charged with various house thefts and concealing the booty in a specific location, local Arabic daily Arrayah reported yesterday.

The defendants were arrested after a tip-off about a gang of three Asian men and two maids, who had absconded from their sponsors.

They were also reported to be frequenting a certain house in a suspicious manner at various intervals to store and transfer different items.

Upon further investigation, it was discovered that they were stealing from various houses and storing the goods to be sold later, the daily added.
