More Qatar aid for Yemen


(MENAFN- Gulf Times) On the directives of HH the Emir Sheikh Tamim bin Hamad al-Thani, Qatar's aid for the people of Yemen continued as two more planes with relief assistance left yesterday.

The planes carried 120 tonnes of relief materials and were escorted by members of the Qatari Research and Rescue Team (Lekhwiya).

On Tuesday, two planes with an equal amount of aid arrived at Djibouti-Ambouli International Airport and were received by Qatar's ambassador to Djibouti Jassim Jaber Jassim Souror, a delegation from the embassy as well as officials from Djibouti and Yemen.

The relief materials were to be transported by sea to the Yemeni people.
The total aid delivered over two days reached 240 tonnes.
