China's current account surplus hits USD78.9b in Q1
(MENAFN) According to the Chinese State Administration of Foreign Exchange (SAFE), the country's current account surplus hit USD78.9 billion in the first quarter of 2015, Xinhua reported.
Meanwhile, the deficit under the capital and financial account amounted to USD79.19 billion in the January-March period. The international reserve assets declined by USD80.51 billion.
In 2014, the surplus under the current account was USD220.7 billion, while the capital and financial account surplus was USD37.92 billion. International reserve assets rose by USD117.85 billion in 2014.
Meanwhile, the deficit under the capital and financial account amounted to USD79.19 billion in the January-March period. The international reserve assets declined by USD80.51 billion.
