Qatar stock index drops 28.96 points


(MENAFN- The Peninsula) Qatar Stock Index (QSE) dropped 28.96 points (0.24 percent) when the bourse closed trading at 12,250.21 points here Tuesday.

The market capitalisation decreased to QR658.84bn from QR659.97bn registered Monday.

The traded volume decreased to QR293.16m with a volume of 7,017,382 shares from 3,906 transactions compared with QR500.83m with a volume of 10,66,167 shares from 6,452 transactions on Monday.

Indices of four sectors declined and three gained today.

QSE Total Return Index dropped 0.24 percent (19,037.46 points). QSE Al Rayan Islamic Index declined 0.31 percent (4,687.38 points) and QSE All Share Index declined 0.17 percent (3,277.25 points).

From the 43 listed companies, 14 advanced, 23 declined and six remained unchanged.
