Israeli forces raze mosque in Negev desert


(MENAFN- Jordan News Agency) Israeli occupation forces on Tuesday tore down a mosque under construction in Wadi al-Na'am village in the Negev desert.

The Arab Monitoring Committee in the Negev desert said in a statement that a force specialized in the demolition of homes had raided the unrecognized Bedouin village, which is being threatened with displacement, sealed off the area and bulldozed the mosque.

"There is a fierce attack underway against Arabs in the Negev, where one house is demolished every week by Israeli authorities or home owners wo are afraid of fines, especially those who live in villages that aren't recognized by Israeli authorities," added the statement.
