Saudi Crown Prince heads to US for Camp David summit


(MENAFN- Kuwait News Agency (KUNA)) Saudi Arabia's Crown Prince, Deputy Premier and Interior Minister Mohammad bin Nayef Al-Saud has left for the United States to attend the GCC-US summit with US President Barack Obama in Camp David, Maryland, slated for Wednesday.

Prince Mohammad's accompanying official delegation include Deputy Crown Prince and Second Deputy Prime Minister and Minister of Defense Mohammad bin Salman Al-Saud and a number of ministers and officials.

US President Barack Obama is set to welcome GCC leaders to the White House on May 13-14.

The US State Department said in an earlier statement that "the expected meeting is a chance to enhance security cooperation and tackle a number of issues and developments in the region, especially means to deal with the conflicts in Iraq, Libya and Yemen."
