Arabia CSR Network Conducts its 3rd GRI G4 Training in Arabic


(MENAFN- Emirates News Agency (WAM)) The Arabia CSR Network conducts its 3rd Sustainability reporting Training based on the Global Reporting Initiative's G4 Guidelines in the Arabic language. The training is conducted in the region's mother language with a focus on encouraging private and public organisations across all sectors to improve their sustainability performance through transparency and disclosure. The open-session training will be held in Dubai on the 19th -21st of May 2015 and will demonstrate how an organisation can demonstrate the link between its strategy and its commitment to a sustainable development.

"We need to realize that sustainability reporting is an imperative for the advancement of sustainable development. It is the only structured way to manage social and environmental impacts and improve operating efficiency, Furthermore it is a pivotal tool for the organisation's stakeholder engagement and analysis and ultimately: overall value creation,'' said Mrs. Habiba Al Marashi, President and CEO of the Arabia CSR Network.

The upcoming GRI training is one of six that have been planned for the year in the UAE, with subsequent courses taking place in September, November and December. All future trainings will be in accordance with the G4 Framework that has been launched in the Arab region since May 2014 in an event which Arabia CSR Network played a significant role. All organizations with a serious commitment to their stakeholders and their sustainable performance are urged to register.

To date, ACSRN has imparted 20 GRI certified trainings to 151 professionals representing 105 organizations. The organization is promoted as the premium CSR and sustainability capacity building platform in the Arab world, offering professional training specifically designed to enhance ability around corporate responsibility and sustainability. In addition to its partnership with GRI, ACSRN has teamed up with other various acclaimed institutions, such as AIM, UNGC, and SROI to train companies in the region in various aspects of CSR and sustainability.
