(MENAFN- The Peninsula) Emir H H Sheikh Tamim bin Hamad Al Thani issued yesterday Decree No. 27 of 2015 ratifying a Memorandum of Understanding in the tourism sector between Qatar and Croatia. The Memorandum was signed in Doha on 8/2/2010.
Emir also issued Decree No. 28 of 2015 ratifying a cooperation agreement in the security field signed with Azerbaijan. The agreement was signed in Doha on 20/10/2014.
Additionally, the Emir issued Decree No. 29 of 2015 ratifying an agreement regarding a joint supreme strategic committee with Turkey. The agreement was signed in Ankara on 19/12/2014. The decrees will have the power of a law in accordance to article 68 of the constitution. Emir also issued law No. 7 of 2015 amending some provisions of Decree No. 17 of 2009 concerning setting up a Qatari company to manage ports. The law is effective starting from its date of publication in the official gazette.
Emir ratifies six agreements
Doha: Emir H H Sheikh Tamim bin Hamad Al Thani issued instruments of ratification for a total of six agreements.
The first instrument of ratification was issued approving a cooperation agreement in the legal field between Qatar and Ecuador. The agreement was signed in Quito on 16/2/2013.
Emir also ratified a cooperation agreement in the field of education, higher education and scientific research between Qatar and Kyrgyzstan. The agreement was signed in Doha 22/9/2014
The third instrument of ratification approved a cooperation agreement in economic, technical and scientific field between Qatar and Costa Rica. The agreement was signed in Doha on 1/4/2014.
Emir issued a fourth instrument of ratification approving an agreement between Qatar and Fiji on avoiding tax duplication and Prevention of Fiscal Evasion related to income tax. The agreement was signed in Doha on 17/6/2013. Emir signed a fifth instrument of ratification on the same issue that was signed with Latvia in New York on 26/9/2014. The final instrument of ratification was also on avoiding tax duplication and Prevention of Fiscal Evasion related to income tax signed with Gambia. Emir also ratified yesterday cabinet decision No. 23 of 2015 amending some provisions of law No. 34 expropriating some real estate for public use.
