Devon UK – May 11 2015 – Christian is a 28 year old who has an amazing story to tell. He has been battling a rare muscle wasting condition called Spinal Muscular Atrophy (SMA) while doing everything in his power to still enjoy life to the fullest. Now he has turned to the crowdfunding community to help him share his life story and to prove to the world that life is too beautiful to not enjoy it! Christian launched a Kickstarter campaign to raise £12000 by July 3 2015.
This rare disease is something very few actually experience. It left Christian a prisoner in his own body. He was fully aware and able to communicate but was unable to move because his muscles have not grown since he was first born. He has not been able to sit upright in the last 14 years and breathing has become struggle for him. Christian is the youngest person to receive an indoor/outdoor electric wheelchair. However this did not stop him from living life. He has adapted and enjoyed every moment.
This is an incredible and unique story that must be shared with the world. It is an inspiring tale about one man and his determination to still live a life just like anyone else. He made the impossible seem possible. His determination and perseverance which he learned from his mother gave him the energy to push through both the tough times and good times with a happy heart. Christian now wants to share this story with others. Not only will this bring awareness to the rare disease but also give hope to those struggling with adversity to continue to push forward. He hopes to show that despite what is going on people can still achieve their goals.
The book will take audiences on a journey through the fun and exciting experiences of his life while also showing the sad heart wrenching times when things got a little too much for him to handle. This will take people on an emotional rollercoaster that many are all too familiar with. However it was his strength of mind that helped him get through life and now he has future plans to live on his own.
