Judeh, Erekat discuss efforts to revive peace talks


(MENAFN- Jordan News Agency) Deputy Prime Minister and Minister of Foreign and Expatriates Affairs, Nasser Judeh, on Sunday, discussed with member of the Executive Committee of the Palestinian Liberation Organization, Saeb Erekat, efforts to revive the stalled peace process between the Palestinians and Israelis.

Judeh renewed Jordan's support for the Palestinian people to achieve their legitimate rights and establish their independent state on their national soil. He highlighted Jordan's efforts, led by His Majesty King Abdullah II, to restart serious peace talks that bring about an independent and sovereign Palestinian state on pre-1967 lines with East Jerusalem as its capital. The meeting highlighted Jordan's role in protecting and safeguarding Muslim and Christian sanctities in Jerusalem.
