Israeli court orders demolition of 8 Palestinian buildings


(MENAFN- Jordan News Agency) The Israeli magistrates' court on Monday issued an order to evacuate and demolish eight buildings in the Semiramis neighborhood, north of occupied Jerusalem, according to Israel Radio.

Residents of the buildings, which include 23 apartments housing 107 people, must demolish the buildings themselves by Aug. 1 after the court ruled that the properties have been owned by Israelis since 1971, according to the Radio.

The court also imposed a fine of 49,000 Shekels ($12,000) on the owners, the Radio added
