(MENAFN- Jordan News Agency) The Arab League Secretariat General called for holding a second meeting for army chiefs of the Arab League members in Cairo on May 23 and 24.
Deputy Arab League Secretary General Ahmad Bin Hilli said the Secretariat General extended invitations to the army chiefs to follow up on a resolution of the Arab Summit in Sharm El Sheikh to establish a joint Arab force.
On March 25, the Arab League announced plans to assemble a new joint Arab intervention force to respond to internal and external threats to league member states.
