Colombia lowers economic growth rate for 2015

(MENAFN) The Colombian Central Bank said it lowered the country's annual economic growth rate, citing the impact of plunging oil prices globally, Xinhua reported.

The institute estimated that the economic growth for the current year will be somewhere between 3.1 percent and 3.2 percent, down from the previous forecast of 3.6 percent.

Central Bank Governor said the sharp drop in oil prices on the global market has affected the economy, but the impact is not as great as in 2009 when 1.7 percent of growth was recorded.
