- The Public Works Authority (Ashghal) announced the award of eleven contracts for infrastructure projects under The Inner Doha Re-sewerage Implementation Strategy (IDRIS), and the Construction and Development of Infrastructure in Local Areas programme, in addition to contracts for the Roads Development projects, with a total value of six billion and 58 million Qatari Riyals.
- Qatar University (QU) and Dolphin Energy Limited Sunday signed a sponsorship agreement for events that QU College of Engineering (CENG) will organize and host in the academic year 2014-2015.

- Aspetar, Orthopaedic and Sports Medicine Hospital, has been publicly awarded with the official plaque identifying Aspetar as an International Olympic Committee (IOC) Research Centre for Prevention of Injury and Protection of Athlete Health at the opening ceremony for the IOC Advanced Team Physician Course (IOC ATPC) Conference held in Sharq hotel, Doha, from the 5th till the 7th of May.
