Bahraini Crown Prince heads to US to attend summit
(MENAFN- Kuwait News Agency (KUNA)) Bahrain's Crown Prince Salman bin Hamad Al-Khalifa will lead Bahrain's delegation attending a Gulf Cooperation Council (GCC)-US Summit due in Camp David this week.
The Baraini Crown Prince will head to the US to an official visit during which he is expected to meet US President Barack Obama, according to Bahrain News Agency (BNA).
US President Barack Obama is set to welcome GCC leaders to the White House on May 13-14.
The US State Department said in an earlier statement that "the expected meeting is a chance to enhance security cooperation and tackle a number of issues and developments in the region, especially means to deal with the conflicts in Iraq, Libya and Yemen."
